Improv group coming to Demopolis

Published 9:18pm Tuesday, September 2, 2008

The Eclectic Improv Company has been delighting sold out crowds for over 10 years and next week they will be in Demopolis.

Improv shows are unscripted with lines being made up on-the-spot by actors.

Two Rivers Arts Council member Kirk Brooker said the actors will ask for suggestions from the crowd and then turn them into scenes, situations and songs, adding that all of the group’s hundreds of shows have been completely different.

“If you miss it, you’ll never have the chance to see it again,” he said.

Performing in Demopolis for one night only are Peter Cumbo, Abby Holland and John Kreuzer with piano accompaniment by Michael Hake.

The show is clean and appropriate for all ages, although the level of humor may be difficult for children to understand.

The event is sponsored by the Two Rivers Arts Council, and will be held Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Old School on Main Avenue. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the door. Admission is free to Two Rivers Arts Council members.
