Dee Wayne Downing, age 91, died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at Druid City Hospital Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Downing was a dedicated Marine veteran of WWII and the Vietnam War.
Memorial graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro with the Rev. Steve Vernon officiating. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing services.
Mr. Downing was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Marsh Downing.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Trippe of Greensboro, Dale D. Mullins of Hammond, La., and Debi L. Downing of Salvage, Mont.; one son, Dee Downing of Los Alamos, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
