Allgood earns Bronze Star

U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Christen D. Allgood of Demopolis received the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in connection with combat operations against the enemy.

Allgood’s distinctive contributions, unrelenting perseverance and steadfast devotion to duty reflected great credit upon him, and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service.

Allgood is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Allgood of Demopolis.

He recently completed his fourth tour of duty in Afghanistan and also served in the second Iraq War.

He is stationed in Virginia Beach, Va.
