The annual meeting of the Hale and Greene County Auburn Clubs will be held next Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Lakeview Country Club in Greensboro.

The meeting will feature speaking from some very special guests from Auburn University.

The Tigers’ assistant head coach Phillip Lolley and Tanja Matthews, from Auburn’s Office of Alumni Affairs, will be on hand to speak to those that attend.

The meeting will offer a buffet dinner which will be $7.50 per person and free for children 12 and under.

Reservations can be made by mailing a check to Renee Parker or Scarlett Kyser.

“Tickets can be purchased at the door, but we want to have an idea of how many people are coming so there will be enough food for everyone,” Kyser said.

Kyser explained that the dinner is not just for those in the Hale and Greene County clubs to enjoy.

“We know that there isn’t really an official alumni club for Marengo County, but we just don’t want this to be for alumni. Instead, we encourage all fans of Auburn University to come out and show their spirit and enjoy the program we have to offer,” she said.

Along with the presentation from Lolley and Matthews, there will be a number of prizes and surprises, including several football “greats” from the past.

For more information contact Kyser at 334-624-1759 or 334-507-0657.
