The Rev. Willie C. Carter, age 73, of Boligee passed on Aug. 30, 2010, at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Little Zion Baptist Church in Boligee. The Rev. James Carter officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.  Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include his wife, Leola Carter of Boligee; his children, James (Cynthia) Carter, Tony Carter Sr., Willie C. (Sandra) Carter, Sharon (Ricky) Wilson, Gatesthrea Croxton, Jualetha (Ricky) Harper, Alphonso Bullock, Clinton Cooks, Eddie (Jackie) Williams, Earl Lamont Harris and Angella (Kirk) Moody; 39 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings Beatrice Hardwick, Henry T. (Helen) Carter and Eddie (Jewel) Carter; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
