W.J. Norris Jr., 83, of Sweet Water died Friday, April 1 at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1927 in Sweet Water. He was a retired paper mill scaleman and a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Junaita Faye Parker Norris of Sweet Water, sons Tom (Bonita) Norris of Sweet Water, Wayne (Joan) Norris of Sweet Water, Jim (Wanda) Norris of Sweet Water, Craig (Becky) Norris of Sweet Water, Steve (Tabitha) Norris of Sweet Water and Joel (Sonya) Norris of Sweet Water as well as 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, William Alan Norris. Funeral services were held at Union Grove Baptist Church Sunday, April 3 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Lister Hill and Rev. Travis Agee officiating. Burial was at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active Pallbearers were Robbie Norris, Jason Norris, Eddie Norris, Mark Hallman, Guy Schroeder and Brad Bailey. Alternate Pallbearers were Billy Dennison, Mike Norris and Al Norris. Honorary Pallbearers were all of his grandchildren.
