There’s little room or need to argue that our city’s waterways are among our biggest assets and we truly showcase their beauty twice a year: Christmas and Freedom on the River.

This year’s Freedom on the River – a mere few weeks away – proves to be another boon to the waterways and a good, family-friendly time.

There’s plenty of time to make your plans and set your schedule, so I encourage you to build at least part of these festivities into yours.

The fireworks are unrivaled. The display showcased over the water annually is unlike anything you will find for 90-plus miles.

It’s arguably among the best in the state and without question among tops in this region.
