Barbara Jean Oliver

Barbara Jean Oliver, 53, a waitress of Jemison, died Monday, Aug. 1 at Cooper Green Hospital in Birmingham. She was born Marcy 17, 1958 in Myrtlewood. She was a member of Cedar Grove Methodist Protestant Church.

She is survived by her son James Henry (Elizabeth) Flowers Jr. of Jemison, daughters Catherine Marie Flowers (Kenneth) Johnson of Sylacauga, Crystal Michelle (Chris) Jones of Morris, Brittany Nicole (Shawn) Wilkinson of Vandiver, sisters O’Lean Flowers of Demopolis, Frances (Steve) Zimmerman of Linden and Rebecca (Joe) Belcher of Holman’s Hollow as well as nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ceille Mae and Henry O’Neal Oliver. Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery Thursday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. with James Flowers officiating.

Active Pallbearers were Eugene Flowers, Wayne Flowers, C.J. Byrum, Brandon Johnson, Shawn Wright and Chris Jones.
