At approximately 12:35 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Alabama State Troopers responded to investigate a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer.

The crash occurred on Interstate 59 about 3 miles north of Livingston. Timothy James Cruz, 52, of East Carbon, Utah, was killed when the 2008 Volvo tractor trailer he was driving left the roadway and struck some trees. Preliminary investigation indicated that Cruz was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crash, and no additional information is available at this time.
