Frederick Oneal Robinson

Fredrick Oneal Robinson began this life’s journey on Sept. 15, 1981 in Grove Hill, AL. He was the son of Donna Jo Robinson Rembert of Demopolis and Frank Gamble of Grove Hill. His maternal grandmother, Jo Alice Robinson of Grove Hill, had a hand in rearing him. She was a very special person in Fred’s life.

He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mount Zion #2 Baptist Church. He was also affiliated with Morning Star Baptist Church of Demopolis where he sang in the choir.

Fred was a 1999 graduate of Clarke County High School where he excelled in several sports, namely football, basketball, and baseball. Immediately after high school, Fred attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL for a short period of time.

Fred was well known for his huge smile and adventurous attitude. He was characterized as a generous and thoughtful father, and a very caring person and friend who carried himself with pride. He enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends in the 4H Camp.

His unexpected death occurred Tuesday, Jan. 10. While Fred leaves us to rejoice in the Glory of God, loving memories of him will be cherished by his loving mother: Donna; father: Frank; son: Keondre; maternal grandmother: Jo Alice Robinson; brothers: Jeremy, Jarius, Frank Jr., LaBarron and Tyrese; sisters: Julie and Jalesa; friend: Virgdean; godson: Tamarcus; devoted aunt: Janice; devoted cousin: Douglas; devoted friend: B’Ondray, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Viewing was held Friday, Jan. 13 at Andrews Funeral Home. Services were held Sat. Jan. 14, 2 p.m. from the Mount Zion #2 Baptist Church, Grove Hill; Rev. Cory Pruitt, pastor; Rev. Fred D. Moore, eulogist. Pallbearers were Preston Horn, Walter Patterson, Jr., Terris Martin, Andri Ezell, Nataki Law, and Dismarcus Glenn. The Clarke County High School Class of 1999 served as flower bearers. Burial was in the church cemetery. Please visit www.viewobit.com
