Mr. Van Henderson, age 90 of Gallion, Alabama (Old Springhill Community) entered into eternal rest February 20, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  Funeral services were held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Gilfield Baptist Church, Gallion, Alabama. Rev. M. C. Jones, Pastor. Rev. Lacornia Harris officiated.  Interment with full military honors followed in the Gilfield Community Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama.  Survivors include three devoted nieces, Wanda Daniels Garner, Acquinetta Henderson and Sandra Wright-Daniels; two devoted nephews, Sammie E. Bryant and John Henderson; one adopted son, Darren Besteder; a special friend, Willie M. Ayers; two devoted caregivers, Josephine Tucker and Evon Tate; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.
