Jerry Anthony Jackson, 69, of Greensboro died March 7 at his residence. Born April 10, 1942 in Jefferson County to the late Lonnie Lester and Gladys Theresa Bickerstaff Jackson, he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Diane Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Harris Jackson of Greensboro, daughters Pam Ray (Kerry) Duncan of Greensboro, Teresa Lynn (Joe) O’Brien of Maryland and Sandra Kay Jackson of Mobile, son Wesley Shane Jackson of California, brther Lonnie Lester (Betty) Jackson Jr. of Florida, grandchildren Shane Stricklin, Haley Farris, Kaisea O’Brien, Malarie O’Brien, Kaylynn Duncan, Ashton O’Brien, Grace Katherine Duncan, Natalie Jackson and Elyse Jackson as well as two great grandchildren, John Carter Stricklin and Jaxson Stricklin.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 10 at Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery with Revs. Arthur Thomas and Wade McCrory officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5-7 p.m. Pallbearers will be John Thomas, Darryl Mitchell, Bubba Ramey, Vernon Crawford, Bob Hamilton, Fred Jones, Shane Stricklin, Wesley Jackson and Reginald Hoggle.
