The Demopolis Police Department is currently investigating two deaths in the city last weeks.

Two women, whom Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese declined to identify, were found dead last week in two separate but similar circumstances.

Reese said his department, along with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, is investigating the deaths.

“This investigation remains open and on-going,” Reese said. “No further information is available at this time.”
