William Lewis Ramsey, 83 of Thomasville, died on July 30 at Grove Hill Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his son, Joe Edmund Ramsey; and two grandsons, Randy Ramsey and Jonathan Dallas Ramsey.

He is survived by two sons, Dallas Lewis Ramsey and William Randall Ramsey; his sister, Elizabeth Greenway; his brother, Allan Ramsey; a special friend, Dean Winters; and four grandchildren, Lee Ramsey, Jonathan Ramsey, Lacey Barber and Nolie Ramsey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Thomasville High School Theatre Program, 777 Gates Dr., Thomasville, Ala. 36784.

Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignitary Memorial Provider, of Tuscaloosa will announce complete funeral arrangements at a later time.
