The Linden Patriots volleyball team has been working on improving their communication and chemistry on the court.

The Patriots are 3-4 on the season after their 3-0 defeat of Choctaw County Thursday night, and with other wins coming against Demopolis and Keith.

“We hustled well and did better at getting to the ball and passing agaisnt Choctaw,” head coach Teressa Bolden said.

Bolden is pleased with how her team has matched up against some of the schools they have faced.

“We have gone up against some bigger schools this season,” she said, “and I think we are doing good with matching up with them.”

She added that they are doing a better job on the court, but that there is still a long way to go.

“We are communicating better on the court,” she said, “and we are doing a better job of getting three hits instead of just sending the ball right back over the net. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are making progress.”

The Patriots will play against Choctaw County again on Monday.
