John Essex player hurt during game
By Brittney Knox Published 10:42pm Friday, September 28, 2012Coach Jerome Antone left John Essex’s game to be with senior Cedric Cook, who suffered neck trauma after a hit during Friday’s game against Autaugaville.
“I am going to be with one of my kids at Baptist South,” he said. “They put him on the stretcher to mobilize him, but he was very responsive and remembered things.”
When Antone left, he said the score was 28-0 Autaugaville over John Essex with 6:00 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
