With the November elections quickly approaching, the deadline to register to vote and for absentee ballots is as well.

The last day to apply for absentee ballots is Nov. 1 for the Nov. 6 elections. The ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 5 if delivered by hand, or they must be postmarked by Nov. 5 and received by noon on election day, if mailed. Applications are available in the Circuit Clerk’s Office, located in the Marengo County Courthouse on the top floor.

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 26. If mailed, the voter registration form must be postmarked on or before this date.
