As part of its celebration of American Pharmacists Month in October, Fred’s Pharmacy, a chain of more than 340 pharmacies, is honoring Trameika Hawkins, Fred’s pharmacist in Demopolis.

Fred’s American Pharmacists Month Recognition Program invited patients to vote online during the month of August for their favorite hometown pharmacists.

A total of 198 Fred’s Pharmacists in 11 different states were recognized, with nearly 700 votes from their patients.

“American Pharmacists Month provides our patients with the unique opportunity to acknowledge the pharmacists that they’ve come to know and appreciate,” said Josh Russell, pharmacy marketing manager for Fred’s Pharmacy. “We are thrilled that the recognition program was such a big success, and that our helpful pharmacy team members are being honored for delivering on our mission, which is to put a smile on every patient’s face.”

Hawkins will receive a plaque in recognition of the Fred’s American Pharmacists Month patient nomination.
