Shown is Susanna Naisbett at her table on Saturday. The table was filled with information about the counties Harriet’s House serves and informational pamphlets.

The Demopolis Cares project officially kicked off this past Saturday with an event in the Dollar General parking lot.

Participating in the event were the Demopolis Police Department Mobile Command Unit and a Demopolis fire and rescue truck. There were also games and food.

Local businesses partner to support Demopolis Cares, which will plant gifts in the hands of the elderly and less fortunate children this Christmas.
