Linden and John Essex’s football game scheduled for Friday night has been cancelled, according to LHS principal Timothy Thurman.

John Essex, who played with 10 players at times in last week’s loss at A.L. Johnson, doesn’t have enough players for the game, Thurman said.

John Essex officials confirmed Thursday that their remaining three games for the season will be cancelled.

The team had been called to host McIntosh on Oct. 26 and then end the season with a road game at Monroe County on Nov. 2.
