There will be a special visitor at Demopolis Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Santa Claus will make a stop from 6-7:30 p.m. for children to get their picture taken with him and for them to tell him what they want for Christmas.

Library director Morgan Grimes said he will be set up in the front window of the library for children to come sit on his lap and get their picture taken.

“He will be set up in the front display window,” she said, “and we will take their pictures and put them on our website so parents can go download them or print them out if they want to.”

There will also be a box for the children to drop their letters to Santa in. Grimes added that there will be cookies and refreshments during the event.

“Tuscaloosa and Meridian are too far for some people to take their children to see Santa,” she said, “so we are glad he is coming here.”
