In this week’s Alabama Sports Writers’ Association basketball polls, not much has changed when it comes to teams in Marengo County.

There are no boys’ teams from the county ranked in the top-10, and there are only two girls’ teams that appear on the lists.

Marengo Academy’s girls (11-0) are still ranked No. 5 in the AISA top-10.

The Demopolis High School girls (7-1) are still just outside the Class 5A top-10. They are third on the list of other teams receiving nominations.
