Students from Westside Elementary School put on their annual Snowman Program on Wednesday afternoon.

Westside Elementary School held their annual “Snowman Program” Wednesday at 2 p.m.

The children sang songs and poems, all revolving around the theme of snowmen. Along with the singing, the children also make snowmen with their parents to have on display at the school.

The students and their parents made snowmen to be put on display during the program.

Terri Speegle, director of the program and kindergarten teacher at Westside, said the program has been going on for over 25 years.

“It’s an annual program that families do together,” she said. “We see different things every year with the snowmen. The parents and children make whatever they’re able to imagine with the snowmen. Everyone enjoys doing this, and we work hard to learn the songs and poems for the program.”

There will be a second performance Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. for those who were not able to attend the first program.
