Ted Marcus Spidle, 81, of Belmont, died Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was retired from Gulf States Paper Mill. He was also a U.S. Army Korean Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Lavender Spidle in 1991.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Melanie) Spidle of Livingston; daughters, Lynn S. (Joey) Lashley of Livingston and Carolyn S. (Tommy) Cartwright of Livingston; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. from the Livingston Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Livingston Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers are Jay Lashley, Marcus Lashley, Tucker Spidle, Hunter Spidle, Bo Cartwright, Chase Gentry and Jeff McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Johnson, Thomas Beard, Jack McPhearson and Charlie Robinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Belmont Fire Department or the Old Belmont Church.
