As basketball season winds down, each game means more and more. Area tournaments begin this week, and it’s win or go home.

Both the girls and boys team for Demopolis will be heading to Sumter Central for their tournaments. The girls will play against Selma at 6 p.m. on Thursday, and the boys will play against Greenville at 6 p.m. on Friday.

The Linden boys are the only team in the county to host their area tournament, and A.L. Johnson and John Essex are playing in that tournament as well. Linden will face the winner of ALJ and John Essex’s Tuesday night game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Linden, ALJ and John Essex’s girls teams will play their tournament at Sunshine High School.
