Demopolis High School will transform into the Land of Oz for this week’s production of the “Wizard of Oz.”

The Tiger Arts Guild will present the classic play starting Wednesday. Public performances will be held Thursday, March 7; Friday, March 8; and Saturday, March 9 at 7 p.m. as well as Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students.

Director Jody Tartt said the production incorporates students from all four Demopolis schools, a first for the Tiger Arts Guild.

•Andy Tarpley and Emily Griffith portray Uncle Henry and Aunt Em.

•Shannon Pittman brings the Wicked Witch of the West and Miss Gulch to live.

•Sydney Pettus, Garrett Miller and Tony Nicholson pull double duty as Scarecrow/Hunk, Tinman/Hickory and Lion/Zeke, respectively.

•Jed Jones is Professor Marvel/Oz, Kayla Cochran is good witch Glinda and Maurice Brock is guard of the Emerald City.
