Anna Michael Crocker pitched a no-hitter Tuesday night for the Marengo Academy softball team on the road at Meadowview Christian in Selma.

The Lady Longhorns defeated Meadowview 12-0 in five innings, and Crocker struck out five batters and only walked three in her no-hit bid.

Offensively for the Lady Longhorns, Katie Tucker led the way, going 3-3 with a double and three RBIs. Brooke Smyly was 2-3 at the plate with two runs scored, and Crocker was 2-4 with one RBI.

“Honestly, I’d like to see us hit better,” head coach Danny Stenz said. “Our pitching and defense has been great, but we need more consistency with our bats.”

Marengo Academy will compete on Thursday through Saturday in the Macon East tournament.

“We will see some good competition in that tournament this weekend,” Stenz said.

The Lady Longhorns are 14-0 overall on 2-0 in their area.
