Thomas Merriweather of New York, a native of Demopolis, entered into eternal rest recently.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, at noon at First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Edmond Charleston officiating. Interment will follow in White Cemetery in Jefferson.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Public viewing will be held Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
