Stanley Hamilton Martin Jr., 71, of Eutaw, died Monday, May 6.

He was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Hale County to Stanley Hamilton and Melonea Jockish Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Martin; daughter, Alicia M. Shelton of Senoia, Ga.; sons, Stanley H. Martin III of Kalispell, Mont., and Scott Tinsley Martin of Coaling; sisters, Willie Thomas of Greesnboro, Marjorie Davis of Greensboro and Eloise Murphee of Cowarts; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at Eutaw Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow in Mesopotamia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Shipman, Dustin Shipman, Austin Martin, Kyle Shelton, Boby McCaa, Joe Drake, Hayden Drake and Dylan Drake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Springfield Fire Department and the deacons of Eutaw Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made either to the church or the Springfield Fire Department.
