Local students receive broadband training

Kathryn Friday from Marengo County, Jennifer Miller from Choctaw County and Pam Stenz from Wilcox County conducted interactive broadband training at Sweet Water, Choctaw County and Wilcox County high schools.

Kathryn Friday from Marengo County, Jennifer Miller from Choctaw County and Pam Stenz from Wilcox County conducted the interactive training at Sweet Water, Choctaw County and Wilcox County high schools.

Students learned about tools and applications for managing home, family, finances and social connections; online workforce development opportunities and information for workers and trainers; and online resources that support wellness and health.

This is part of a program of the Economic and Community Development Institute of Auburn University, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs and the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind to help bridge the digital divide and promote engagement of the Internet economy throughout the state.
