J.S. Flowers, 82, a farmer of Sweet Water, died Tuesday, May 21 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 15, 1930, in Sweet Water.

He is survived by his brother, J.D. Flowers of Sweet Water; two sisters, Sadie Ethel Flowers and Katie Flowers Allday of Sweet Water; five nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and great nephews; and seven great-great nephews.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Percy Clarke officiating.

Burial was at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active pallbearers were Dewayne Allday, Steven Garner, Ted Nelson, Bill Blakney, Mel Morgan, Mark Morgan and Tommy Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers were David Lowery, Arthur Butler, Jimmy Pope and Larry Nelson.
