The Demopolis Police Department will host self-defense training for women starting June 18 to July 11.
The classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for four weeks. Registration will be $50.
On a flyer, the department released for promoting the class, it states, “Every year, millions of women are victims of violence. Usually, at the hands of someone they know.”
Those interested in the self-defense program should contact Sheila Rodgers or Sgt. Richard Bryant for more information at (334) 289-3073.
