A mid-June cold front will bring the chance of severe weather to Marengo County on Thursday afternoon.
Scattered severe storms will be possible across all of Central Alabama on Thursday afternoon through the evening hours as a cold front pushes southward, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
The main threats will be large hail and damaging straight-line winds.
After sunset, the storms will weaken over time but a few isolated severe storms could still be possible in southern counties like Marengo.
