Ida Sue Powell, 86, a homemaker of Livingston, died Thursday, July 18 at Hospice of West Alabama.

She was born Nov. 2, 1926 in Greenville. She was a member of the Linden Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, William H. “Billy” (Janice) Powell, III of Linden; daughters, Linda Powell (David) Phillips of Canton, Ga., and Helen Powell (Donald) Lauderdale of Livingston; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Johnny Arnett officiating. Burial was at Concord Cemetery in Yantley.

Active pallbearers were Will Powell, Wes Powell, Whit Mize, Hunter Mize, Josh Wagner and Jeff Wagner.

Honorary pallbearers were George Norris Powell and Mike Jones.
