LIVINGSTON – Coming off three consecutive trips to the NCAA Regionals, the University of West Alabama softball program is holding open tryouts Sept. 8 at the UWA Softball Complex.

The tryouts for current high school juniors and seniors, as well as current UWA students, will begin at 2 p.m.

To participate in the tryout, current UWA students must be a full time student and in good academic standing. Each participant must provide proof of a medical physical, which should be signed by a physician and dated within the past six months.

Each athlete will also need a signed sickle cell release form or waiver. If the participant is under 18, they must have the waiver and sickle cell release co-signed by a parent or guardian.

Prospective players must be a high school junior or older and cannot be currently participating in their high school season.
