B.R. Etheridge, 94, of Sweet Water died Friday, Aug. 9 at his home.

He was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Marengo County. He was a retired maintenance worker with Transco/Williams Pipeline Company and attended Campground United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Thrash Etheridge of Sweet Water; sons, Ronald (Beth) Etheridge of Linden and Calvin (Wanda) Etheridge of Sweet Water; daughter, JoAnne (Fred) Speed of Dumas, Ark.; brother, William Kelly Etheridge of Myrtlewood; grandchildren, Preston Speed of Dumas, Ark., Jason (Beth) Etheridge of Ralph, and Justin (Megan) Etheridge of Demopolis; and great-grandchild, Aubree Elizabeth Etheridge.

Graveside funeral services were held at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kelly Etheridge officiating.
