In the second week of the Alabama Sports Writers Association poll, the Demopolis Tigers moved up one spot to No. 7 in the Class 5A rankings.

Demopolis (2-0, 1-0) defeated Citronelle last week to move up in the rankings. The Tigers’ week three opponent, Saraland, is not in the top 10, but they did receive votes in the poll.

In the Class 2A poll, the Sweet Water Bulldogs are still outside the top 10, but they did receive votes this week, which they did not last week. The Bulldogs defeated Leroy 41-6 last week. This week, they face Millry, who does not appear on the list.

The Linden Patriots dropped one spot in the polls this week, despite a blowout victory over J.U. Blacksher. The Patriots now stand at the No. 8 spot in the Class 1A poll. They will face St. Luke’s on the road this week.

In the AISA poll, Marengo Academy is still outside the top 10, even after two convincing wins to open the season. They continue to receive votes in the poll, just not enough to crack the top 10.
