The West Alabama football team dropped to No. 16 in this week’s American Football Coaches Association Division II football poll following a narrow 44-42 loss at Division I FCS member McNeese State.

The Tigers (1-1) dropped four places, but remained one of three Gulf South Conference teams ranked in the top 25. Valdosta State, which was open last week, remained atop the poll and North Alabama dropped two spots to No. 24 after a double overtime loss at FCS member Jacksonville State.

West Alabama travels to Florida Tech on Thursday. The game will kick off at 7:06 CDT and will be televised nationally by CBS Sports Network. Tiger fans can find CBS Sports Network on DISH 158, DIRECTV 221 or 613 and Mediacom 171.
