Francis Muriel Boozer, 93, of Linden, died Monday, Sept. 30 at Hospice of West Alabama.

He was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Sweet Water to the late Asa and Georgiana Ballard Boozer Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Georgiana Ballard Boozer Sr.; wife, Betty Kate McClusky Boozer; daughter, Sharon Goodman; and brother, Asa Boozer Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Etheridge Boozer; daughters, Gaynelle Pitts of Cedar Bluff and Jeanette Hudson of Enterprise; son, Phillip Gray of Tuscaloosa; sister, Ann Lynch of Montgomery; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Dr. Billy Harris officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
