The Linden City Council approved their 2013-14 budget during a meeting Wednesday.

The proposed budget includes $1.8 million in revenue for the city, and $1.6 million in expenditures, leaving a balance of $202,875.

The budget includes a three percent raise and a one-time $1,000 bonus for city employees.

During the meeting, Mayor Charles Moore said the city is looking into pricing for a new chain-link fence at Linden Athletic Field to help improve fan safety at the field.
