Deadlines are fast approaching but it’s not too late to be in either the Christmas on the River day or night parade.

The day parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11:30 a.m..

Parade applications are still being taken through Wednesday, Nov. 20.

There are some basic rules for the day parade: all floats must have a Christmas theme, no float can have “Santa” on it (he’s at the end of the parade), no vehicle can be used for advertising, antique vehicles must have an antique tag and any music played must be holiday related.

Boaters are also been sought for the night parade. The nautical parade and firework show will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 6-8:30 p.m.

This year marks the 42nd year of Christmas on the River.
