Ruth Faye Bond Willoughby

Ruth Faye Bond Willoughby, 86, of Demopolis, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 13, 1927, in Harrisburg, Ill. to the late Hiram Daniel and Anna Fern Pankey Bond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Daniel and Anna Fern Pankey Bond; sisters, Kay Pierson and Ethel Lewis; and brothers, Hubert Bond and George Bond.

She is survived by her son, Glenn (Theresa) Willoughby of Demopolis; four grandchildren, Amber Celeste Willoughby Barnes of Columbiana, Layla Catherine Willoughby of Demopolis, Jackson Douglas Willoughby of Demopolis and Vivian Simone Willoughby of Demopolis; and sister, Elizabeth Smith of Elkhorn, Neb.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. At First United Methodist Church in Demopolis with Dr. Art Luckie and the Rev. David Willis officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Active pallbearers will be Alan Pierson, Russell Pierson, Bruce Smith, Terry Bond, Vernon Bond and Jim Cross.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Cross, Buddy Cross, Mike Hicks, Bobby Herndon, Dr. Paul Ketcham, Claud Neilson, Charlie Wilson, Don Wilson, Bill Mackey, Mem Webb and Kim Townsend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Demopolis First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Decatur St., Demopolis.
