James “Jimmy” Etheridge, 67, of Beaver Creek, died Thursday, Dec. 12 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 3, 1946, in Sweet Water. He was a retired equipment operator with James River Corp. and a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Etheridge of Beaver Creek; sons, James LaDon “Donny” (Donna) Etheridge Jr. of Nanafalia, and John Charles “Charley” (Barbara) Etheridge of Linden; daughter, Tanya Lyn Eitheridge (David) Turner of Beaver Creek; brother, Gary “Dan” (Shirley) Etheridge of Beaver Creek; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Beaver Creek Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. with the Revs. Tony Earl Cannon and Brooks Etheridge officiating. Burial was at Beaver Creek cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active pallbearers were Dalton Etheridge, Drew Etheridge, Kenneth Hall, S.C. Hughey, Jay Mansfield and Scott Mayton.
