Robert Morris Montgomery, 69, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, Jan. 15 at DCH in Tuscaloosa.

He was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Tuscaloosa to the late Willis Watts and Josephene L. Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Watts and Josephene L. Montgomery.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Anderson Montgomery of Demopolis; daughter, Angela (Kenneth) Brock of Demopolis; son, Robert M. (Audra) Montgomery Jr. of Pickensville; sister, Rita Fay M. Mallette of Tuscaloosa; brothers, Roy Michael Montgomery of Weaver and Terry Watts Montgomery of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Ethan Connor Montgomery, Aaron Parker Montgomery, Devin Ridge Brock and Stater Thomas Brock.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Fairhaven Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Jack Anderson and the Rev. Scott Stephens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-1:45 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Aimwell Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Zachary Abel, Jacob Abel, Paul Foxhall, Randall Jones, Asher Mallette and Caleb Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Foxhall, ACCU staff of DCH and Sherrell Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials please be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home or the American Cancer Society.
