Sheila Gaines Carroll, 61, of Greensboro, died Sunday, Feb. 2 at her residence. She was born Dec. 26, 1952, in Shelby, N.C., to the late Elma Drewery Hicks and the late Arthur Gaines Hicks.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra Stevens Cherry; and brother, Wesley John Stevens.

A personal memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
