Ruth Moore Jackson

Ruth Moore Jackson, 79, of Livingston and formerly of Demopolis, died Friday, March 14 at her home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Perry County to Michael and Nettie D. Sherbett Moore.

She was preceded by her parents, Michael and Nettie Sherbett Moore; and husband, Thomas F. Jackson.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Sid) Nelson of Epes, Sandra (Ricky) Trull of Leesville, La., and Cynthia (Mike) Hudson of Brandon, Miss.; sister, Alvis (Gerald) Coppage of Lawley; brother, Thomas (Eloise) Moore of Troy; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 23 at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel at 2 p.m. with Dr. Bobby Hopper and the Rev. Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Thomas Floyd, Ben Trull, Andrew Hudson, Thomas Hudson, R.T. Floyd and Jerry Coppage.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Faith/Davidson Sunday School class at Livingston Baptist Church and the Adult Ladies II and III of Gallion Baptist Church.
