In the sixth, Demopolis added another run to bring the score to 5-3. Zarquashia Taylor singled to bring in Jessica Adams.

The Lady Tigers were unable to get any offense in the seventh, though, and fell to the Lady Aggies.

Demopolis had 11 hits in the game, and head coach Joey Browder said he feels like the team is continuing to improve.

“We’re steadily working and steadily getting better,” he said. “We’re taking a tougher approach at the plate and the team batting average is coming up. Tonight we had errors throughout the game that cost us. We’re just allowing too many runs on errors.”

The loss drops the Lady Tigers to 7-23 on the season. They will host Hale County on Monday at 4 p.m. for their next game. Senior night will be next Friday, April 18 against Greenville.
