James B. Perry, 79, of Demopolis, died Saturday, Aug. 16 at Princeton Baptist.

He was born Dec. 19, 1934, to the late James and Martha Ellen Williamson Perry.

He is survived by his wife, Bess Stockman Perry; daughters, Kathy (Randy) Morgan, Tammy Brown and Melissa Zorn; sons, Jason (Janna) Perry, Jimmy (Brenda) Perry and Shane (Vicky) Perry; brothers, John Thomas Perry and Gary R. Perry; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. at Demopolis First United Methodist Church with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Demopolis First United Methodist Church.
