Harriet’s House Director Susanna Naisbett receives a check from Demopolis Goody’s Store Manager Julie Pepper from Goody’s “30 Days of Giving” campaign.

The Demopolis Goody’s store made a donation of $900.60 to Harriet’s House on Wednesday as part of its “30 Days of Giving” campaign.

From Sept. 12 to Oct. 12, all customers at Goody’s in Demopolis were invited to make a donation to the local shelter for victims of domestic abuse.

“Funding is at critical levels right now, and the timing of this is great,” said Susanna Naisbett, the director of Harriet’s House. “Especially during this time of year, the people in the shelter need more, and we want to provide what we can within reason. This couldn’t have come at a better time.”
