Rita Virginia Moses, 54, of Linden, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13

She was born Oct. 11, 1960, and was a longtime resident of Linden. She was retired from the Marengo County Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Anthony Moses.

She is survived by her son, James Robert (Kristene) Moses; sisters, Donna (David) Wilcher, Gloria (Chauncey) Vickers and Debra (Paul) Palmer; brothers, Samuel Moses, Rickey (Janice) Moses, Wayne (Barbara) Moses, Tommy Scott and Michael Scott; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Moses, Ivory Sanders, Abigaile Sanders and Ethan Sanders; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral was a graveside service on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Thomaston Cemetery with the Rev. Randal Smith officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family received friends Monday night from 6-8 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Moses, David Wilcher, Chauncey Vickers and Kevin Carter.
